5 Ways to Treat Yo’ Self This Winter

It’s that time of year again. While winter is a time of bonfires, holidays, and gathering with family and friends to celebrate the reason for the season, it can also be a time of stress, depression for many, and being utterly exhausted at the end of the day.

Whether you’re the type who thrives on the coldest time of the year or you’re a sun lover, in the winter it’s extremely important that you take time to treat yourself. In this blog, you will find some nice ways to treat yourself over the busiest and coldest time of the year.

Book a spa day

In the middle of your holiday shopping and trying to keep the kids entertained when the snow is piling up outside and they are cooped up inside, you’re going to need a break. Take five minutes to book yourself a spa day at a Studio City spa. Booking a spa day for yourself and a friend, if you so choose, is the perfect way to unwind during the winter.

Remember, spas have a variety of services, from laser hair removal to laser skin rejuvenation and from facials to rejuvenation treatments. No matter which services you choose on your designated spa day, make sure to lay back, forget your worries, and enjoy being pampered for a change.

Take in a show

If you feel guilty for taking a spa day without the spouse that is as stressed and working as hard as you are, then why not do something together. Grab a sitter for the kids, go online and purchase two London theatre tickets, head out to dinner and then see the show together. Since it’s almost Christmas, you could book a showing of the Christmas Carol or if you’re a little tired of the hustle and bustle of the holiday, buy tickets to a comedy or classic show instead. Get your affordable tickets for the best West End shows today.

Buy yourself a gift

Winter and holiday shopping can be a beast. You’re steadily concentrating on what would be the perfect gift for everyone on your holiday list, and you forget about yourself. While this is the season of giving to others, why not boost your own spirits a little by buying yourself a gift? It doesn’t have to be an expensive gift. Maybe you can buy yourself that new novel by your favorite author or that cashmere sweater you’ve had your eye on. The point is to treat yourself every now and then.

Splurge on skincare

Whether it’s going to and from work, carting the kids to school and social activities, or a day of Christmas shopping, you’re out and about in the winter weather a lot. Everyone knows that winter can be hard on your skin, and it’s easy to forget to take care of that same skin when you’re super busy. When you’re out and about shopping, splurge on a few skincare products for yourself. Whether it’s your favorite lotion or bubble bath and facial creams, you’ll be treating yourself and keeping your skin healthy at the same time.

Schedule a “me” day

As busy as the winter and holiday season can be, it’s important to treat yourself to some you time whenever you can. Don’t forget to schedule a “me” day at least once every couple of weeks. Whether you curl up with a good book in front of the fire, take a long, hot bubble bath, or simply take a long nap, giving yourself a break is the best way to treat yourself in the winter that we can think of.

These are just a few of the top ways you can treat yourself during the winter and holiday season. Remember, while the season is about giving to others, you need to give to yourself as well.
